Disability

Warwickshire Access CC is the Cricket Board’s team that represents the county in the British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities Championship (BACD). The side is made up of players with either a physical disability or learning difficulties and plays open-age cricket.

WACC play six to eight games every season as well as taking part in indoor tournaments in the winter. The summer matches are 40-over, hardball games played against other counties. In 2010 opponents will be Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cheshire and they will be played both home and away. The winners of each league will then go through to the national final.

The side train regularly at Edgbaston under the guidance of Cricket Board coaches. Everybody who qualifies is welcome irrespective of ability. We focus on what people can do and not what they can’t. Details of training sessions are available on request.
