Warwickshire Cricket Board

Earlswood & Moseley CC won the Under 11 County Girls Soft Ball event at Standard CC. The day was blessed with sunshine on a rainy weekend. 7 teams from around the county fought a keenly contested day with over 60 girls taking part. After a series of league games the eventual league winners Earlswood & Moseley CC and Standard CC contested the final. The final was an excellent advert for the girls game and saw some high quality cricket.

Andy Wyles Warwickshire Cricket Board said “Its great to see so many girls playing the game. Girls cricket is our fastest growing area of participation with many clubs offering a girls only section. As well as the clubs and coaches we also need to say a big thanks to Standard CC for organising the day“.
