Following the retirement of Alan Oakman from the WCB 50+ Coach/Organiser role, the WCB 50+ team have been regrouping and preparing for the 2017 season.

Replacing a Titan such as Alan is never easy, but Nigel Moore has been putting the finishing touches to the season’s fixtures which will see Mike Daniels captain Warwickshire in 4 home and 3 away fixtures in the Group stages of the national ECB Tournament, which was won in 2016 by neighbouring Leicestershire. The full Group fixture list can be seen below.

Prior to the Group stages a net session/get-together is being held at Edgbaston on Tuesday 11th at 7.00pm for all interested players. Wednesday 12th April will also be available for an overspill session if required.

To qualify to play, players should have turned 50 before the date of their first fixture. If you turn 50 during the season you’re eligible to play in any fixture from then on. Nigel and Mike are keen for anyone interested in playing either this year or in future years to contact them – please see contact details below.

All matches start at 13.00 and are 45 overs win / lose format.
