Warwickshire Cricket Board

The Warwickshire Cricket Groundsman Association awarded Kenilworth Cricket Club its Geoff Calcott Trophy for the marvellous ground work that is undertaken at the Club.
Geoff Calcott was a fine and highly respected skilled groundsman in the Midlands. He was also very fond of the ground and always enjoyed working at Kenilworth Cricket Club with the Club’s groundsmen team. The award was in recognition of the dedication and efforts of Geoff Edmunds, Andy Kennell, Alan Davies and others who help out at the Club to produce such good wickets for the benefit of the Players.

The award was for:

· Consistently good pitch marks in the Warwickshire Cricket League
· Consistent overall excellent presentation of the Ground
· General ongoing improvements
· Voluntary efforts underpinning all of this

Geoff Edmunds’ massive contributions across all areas of Kenilworth Cricket Club life were also mentioned and praised.

The Birmingham League Pitch Marks Award was presented to Knowle & Dorridge CC whilst the Warwickshire Cricket League award went to Standard CC. Many congratulations go to these clubs and their hard working and high-achieving groundsmen.
