The School Delivery Programme 2014/15
This programme is delivered by qualified coaches from clubs across the county who are supported by the Warwickshire Cricket Board. The purpose of the programme is to build links between hundreds of primary and secondary schools and their local cricket club.
Our qualified coaches attend and deliver cricket sessions and matches in schools, train teachers and encourage children to come and play at cricket clubs. Chance to Shine mention that “Last year, 15,000 young people joined a club – a third were girls – and in total 50,000 children have moved or ‘migrated’ to clubs to continue their cricket journey, since 2005”
Chance to Shine coaches develop the knowledge and skills of teachers through regular contact during sessions. We require teachers to be present during all school sessions.
In 2013-14 Warwickshire Cricket Board delivered coaching in over 200 schools in 2014-15 we will be aiming to work with 140 Primary schools and 60 Secondary schools in 2014/15.
