The Emerging Player Programme (EPP) is a comprehensive and structured programme designed for those players identified as having the necessary aptitude, attitude and athleticism to be potentially future elite cricketers. It focuses not just on skill work, but the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game; protocols which must be utilized to reach elite levels in all sports. The EPP is effectively the link between County Age Group Cricket and the Warwickshire County Cricket Club Academy. The Principal idea is to identify young talented cricketers who have the core skills to not only graduate onto the Academy, but to also progress to an England Development Programme, First Class Cricket or higher. Being part of this is a great opportunity but does also require a significant commitment from both the players and families involved.
The 2014/15 winter programme will be based on week day evenings (TBC) at the Edgbaston Cricket Centre with the Summer Programme being based at the Colts Ground, Edgbaston.
