Teachers are key to the success of Chance to Shine. The more engaged they are, the more likely that cricket will continue in schools. That’s why they place great importance on teacher training, both formal and informal.

Chance to Shine professional cricket coaches work closely with teachers to pass on their knowledge and give them the confidence to run their own sessions at school. This is particularly important in primary schools where there are fewer specialist sports teachers.

Chance to Shine have created a powerful bank of free resources for primary and Secondary schools, so teachers can lead their own cricket sessions with confidence.

The programme helps teachers, teaching assistants, and other adults supporting learning within schools understand how cricket can be used to deliver high-quality PE and school sport.

Warwickshire Cricket Board also deliver Chance to Shine Cricket CPD courses, the course modules include a Foundation (introductory) module which is compulsory plus batting, bowling, fielding, games (for a whole class) and Kwik Cricket. To book please contact [email protected].
