The Warwickshire Cricket Boards disability programme is delivered in partnership with the Lords Taverners, who provide funding and equipment for our taster sessions in schools, as well as our community sessions, known as “Hubs”. These Hubs are spread across the county, with 4 Hubs in Birmingham, and Hubs in both Leamington and Coventry.
The Hubs are designed to be inclusive to anyone with either a physical or learning disability, as well as welcoming players of all sporting abilities. If you are interested in attending one of our Hubs, please visit the Community Sessions page, and you can decide which are best for you.
Attendees of these Hubs also have the opportunity to complete a Sports Leaders UK award, to play in competition days across the year and also socialise and make friendships!
For those of you who take your cricket more competitively, the Warwickshire Access team is the counties disability squad. They train at the Edgbaston Indoor Centre on Saturday mornings from 10-11am and represent Warwickshire in the Super 9’s league over the summer. This competition is split into leagues of three teams, each team having six fixtures, which see two teams of between 9 and 11 players take to the pitch for either a 30 or 35 over game. The winners of each region go through to the national playoffs!
