The Warwickshire Cricket Board will be running a variety of Chance to Shine and Kwik Cricket competitions throughout 2019.
Chance to Shine Competitions
Chance to Shine believe strongly in the power of competition. Life is competitive and young people need to learn at an early age how to win and how to lose graciously.
Some feedback that Chance to Shine have received from teachers about taking part in these competitions can be seen below:
- Pupils are more engaged and organise matches themselves in the playground at break time
- Improves classroom behaviour as schools make this a requirement if pupils want to participate in cricket competitions
- Helps pupils develop important life skills such as leadership, teamwork and cooperation
- Teaches pupils how to win, to lose, and to cope with setbacks
