Get Into Cricket Voucher

The idea:
The idea of the “Get into Cricket” Voucher is to encourage new participants to attend cricket clubs this summer. They will receive two free taster sessions at their chosen club before hopefully signing up to the remainder of the coaching programme for the 2019 season.
We will be handing out 20,000 vouchers to children in schools across Warwickshire. One of the primary aims of our school programme (Chance to Shine) is to encourage children to take their experience of cricket within school to their local cricket club or exit route. Tracking this transition is not always easy, but an accurate statistic is vital to ensure development across our programmes. Hence, the introduction of the “Get into Cricket” Voucher.
Children who attend a participating cricket club will need to take the ticket to be signed off at their first session and will need to write their school and year group on the back before they present it to the club.
Over the past few years, it has been increasingly difficult to capture information from clubs with regard to where children are coming from and if certain schools are supporting our programmes.
What we need from clubs:
- To decide whether the club wants to be part of the programme i.e. if the club needs/wants to increase its participation at primary school age.
- Collect school information via club registration forms and share with WCB.
- Complete a sign up form to provide information around your summer delivery. Email Danny Maskell to apply
- Communication throughout 2019.
- Collection of vouchers, then shared with WCB.
- Honest feedback on how we can improve the programme throughout and at the end of the programme.
Please note, clubs do not have to be part of the “get into Cricket” programme, we will still promote your clubs where needed.
What WCB will do:
• Hand out 20,000 vouchers to children in schools across Warwickshire.
• Add participating clubs’ information to our website (Found Here)
• Add all information to a map on our website
• Support clubs with promotional material i.e. posters that say we accept the vouchers.
• Hand out flyers and club promotional material in local schools
• Hand out wristbands with “get into Cricket” on.
